totally forgot about this thing
well, it’s been a pretty depressing summer and I’ve had a shit ton to think about. Basically, I have no further faith in humanity from the prior year (if anything it’s gotten worse). My personal perception of the world has gotten much more on pace with the true reality (if a single source can deem their outlook “true”) and it depresses the shit out of me. I want no part of a materialistic society that bases profit over humanity (or whats left of it…). I’ve come to terms that in order to coincide and live cherubicly with society one must conform to it’s standards. I’m not talking about stripping an anarchy patch from your hoodie, I’m talking full and complete submersion of your life into the capitalist agenda. A political and economical concept that has lead this country on the wrong path since the right-winged politicians of the post-JFK era discovered the simple mathematics that war=profit. I may sound like some strung out hippie from a generation that should of died decades ago, but our current system leads me astray from politics and more into the realm of conspiracies and the “what if” of american politics. Being a history major my JOB is the past, and upon further research i find (SHOCKINGLY SO) a cyclical fashion of events. It’s as if people planned for the future to unfold as it did, leaving millions scrambling for a living while others swimming in a pool full of 100 dollar bills (grant just looked too shabby for the ivory tusk tile…). I can’t wait till college is done so I can disappear into the Peace Corps. and never be heard of again until TIME magazine constructs an article on the “NEW WAVE OF POPULISM IN SOUTH AMERICA” with me and my socialist movement on center page. If history is doomed to repeat itself, at least I’ll make myself apart of some of the previous, short lived, glory that it once served….
